The Legend of Shing
“A long, long time ago, in Shing used to live a proud farmer who had seven daughters, each one more beautiful than the other. Rumors of their beauty went beyond their homelands. Hearing this, a man decided to go to Shing and ask for the hand of one of the farmer’s daughters…
But the man was rude and ugly, so the farmer, who loved his daughters very much, refused the stranger. Angered, the stranger, who was an evil sorcerer, turned the seven beauties of Shing into seven lakes …“

Chaichona is a traditional Tajik tea house, usually beautifully decorated with wooden engraved pillars and colourful ceilings. Enjoy a cup of tea and a bite to eat on relaxing tapchans (a raised platform that is used in Central Asia and functions as a table, or as a bed)! Pilaf (in Tajik palov) is the traditional dish of Tajikistan. Tajiks love palov and would eat it every day. Palov is rice cooked with carrots, onions and goat meat in special palov pots. The palov tastes even better if eaten with fingers, as the Tajiks do
